Lisa

Crehan

Lisa Crehan lives in Dublin, Ireland. She studied Sculpture at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) during the 1990's and subsequently worked as a graphic design assistant.

In recent years she discovered her passion for watercolour, with an opportunity to study under the acclaimed master watercolour artist, Ali Cavanaugh. This has inspired her interest in exploring alternative substrates. Many of Lisa's pieces are on panel. She also works on paper and is developing her process by integrating Indian ink.

She is fascinated by the interplay of shadows and light in both her figurative and still life works and expresses a curiosity about human connections with a sense of personal experiences and story telling.

Lisa has exhibited her watercolors at the Hamilton Gallery & The Pulchri Gallery in The Hague.

She was included in 146th Dublin Painting & Sketching Club annual exhibition.

She was shortlisted for the ‘Orpen Prize’ 2024.

Awarded 'Best in show' for her self portrait by the International watercolor group - Aligator Watercolor Community
