Bridget Flinn

Bridget studied art at NCAD and on graduation went on to continue her studies at the Royal College of Art in London.

Following graduation she worked for some time as an illustrator. However her first love was painting and she has now, for a number of years, committed herself full –time to this.

While much of her work is landscape, she also paints still life, in particular flowers. Bridget is committed to drawing which she feels is the basis of all her painting and is particularly interested in drawing and painting the human figure.

She paints in acrylic and while retaining a representational image interprets her subjects in a semi-abstract form, with interfacing panels of harmonious colour.

Bridget has exhibited regularly in a number of leading galleries and became a gallery artist with the Solomon Gallery in 2016.

She has been selected to exhibit in the RHA Annual Exhibition in 2104, 2015 and 2016 and RUA Annual Exhibitions in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. She has also been awarded a Fellowship of Ballinglen Arts Foundation in 2016. Her work is held in a number of collections, including Office of Public Works and Blackrock Hospice.

In addition to the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club, Bridget is a member of the Watercolour Society of Ireland.
