Michel Bertrand

Michel BERTRAND was born in PARIS on February 8, 1943.

It is very young, through the drawings of his elder brother, today painter in Ille-et-Vilaine, that he sharpens his eyes. In addition to a career in export, he attended courses for adults at the Ecole Supérieure de Drawing School, Boulevard Montparnasse, Ecole Nationale de Cergy in painting and art history, and more recently a model painting Fine Arts of PARIS.

It is his meeting with the painter Jean-Claude CHAILLOU, in 1984, which will trigger his passion for watercolor. Taming of the water, tracking of the pigments, incomparable light of the washes, speed of execution, but also patience, perseverance .... A program that Michel BERTRAND has been trying to transmit for several years now in his classes and workshops at Isle Adam (Prisme et nuances), Vigny en Vexin (Vigny Loisirs) and Montmagny (ART'M Cultural Center) And today in PERIGNY-LA ROCHELLE (The world in colors).
